OUR MISSION

Positive Ageing in London is the Voice of Older Londoners which brings together London-wide and local borough groups from both the voluntary and statutory sectors to consider age issues in London and agree common solutions.

Positive Ageing in London was founded in 2011 as the London regional forum on ageing, bringing together older people’s organisations, charities, service providers and statutory bodies.

We have already organised a series of successful events with great expert speakers and facilitated focus groups which have produced some excellent recommendations on the key issues which concern us as older Londoners.
From our events we provide policy calls for inclusion in the Mayor’s strategies for London.

  • PAiL Newsletter July 2021 Section 1 – PAiL Campaigns PROGRESS ON AGE-FRIENDLY ACTION PLAN FOR LONDON The long wait for an age-friendly action plan for London continues but optimism remains! We accept that covid has changed the policy arena in London and that recovery is now the priority for GLA with London buffeted by pressures and growing inequalities arising from the pandemic.  Together with other age groups that form the London Age Forum coalition we are lobbying
  • Building back better is the watchword for recovery in London. London Boroughs’ performance during the pandemic was on the whole exemplary – providing much needed support for older people, working in partnership with the community and innovating in real time. But now we are beyond the worst, are London Boroughs taking older people’s needs into account as they produce plans for recovery? PAiL asked all London Boroughs for information earlier this year about how they

Positive Ageing in London – your age forum- is pleased to send you this our first newsletter of the year. We hope everyone received our Survival Guide for older Londoners that we sent out to you earlier this year instead of a newsletter, as we thought an update on how to survive this pandemic this winter was the best contribution we could make ( LINK to survival guide on website). Now that the NHS vaccination

Positive Ageing In London has put together this Survival Guide for older people living in London. The guide consists of useful information collated from around the internet, some of which has been shared amongst the PAiL community and committee members in previous newsletters and campaigns.
