Medical consultations by phone or video
In the last few months it has become the norm to have medical consultations by phone or video. I can see that it very practical for patient and for health practitioner and certainly safer than attending a health centre or hospital.
It is probably here to stay. However, I wonder whether it serves all patients well in all circumstances. For example, there is the question of privacy, if you live with other people.
I would be very interested to hear of other people's experiences of remote consultations whether good or bad.
I have had a few phone consultations and found them fine. But there are times when a face to face consult is essential, not only because of privacy, but there are situations where you cannot properly explain/describe a symptom...especially if you are feeling
